The cost of each client service is approximately >$250 per client appointment, which includes materials,
staffing and overhead costs, clinic costs, spiritual care, and food and gifts for the clients.
We rely on the generosity of individual donors like you to provide excellent and compassionate holistic legal care to our clients.

Q. Does CLA-LA have an organization supporting its work?
CLA-LA is a stand-alone 501(c)(3) organization and does not have a parent legal aid program providing support for the free legal aid services offered to our most vulnerable citizens.
Q. Where does CLA-LA receive funding?
CLA-LA receives approximately 20% of its funding from private foundations, but relies upon private individual contributions from people like you to provide the funding needed to provide free legal services. Contributions cover CLA-LA expenses, most of which consist of employment expenses (salary, payroll taxes and worker’s compensation) for our staff members who serve clients and recruit, equip, and retain volunteers to provide free legal services and expenses for office supplies and all materials needed to provide legal services.
Q. How does CLA-LA use its funds?
CLA-LA served over 1,600 clients during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2019-2022 with 2 staff members. Therefore, we are as effective as possible with the resources we have been given. Through your generosity, we hope to expand our staff and client base exponentially in the years to come.
